Owner Portal
Your project under control –
As a building owner or private client, you want your project under control. MontaConnect provides you with a dedicated portal that consolidates all information from planning to completion. Your entire project is clearly structured and accessible online at any time.
Timeline with Milestones
In the portal, building owners see a timeline overview of all project phases from initial consultation through planning and construction phases to acceptance and beyond (e.g. end of warranty period). Each milestone shows date, status and costs where applicable.
Point of No Return (PoNR)
Decision points are highlighted, especially those with a Point of No Return. As soon as a decision exceeds the latest possible deadline, the system marks it clearly and sends a reminder. This way you know early on by when material selections, the kitchen plan or other key decisions must be made to avoid additional costs or schedule delays.

Vision, Budget, Time in Harmony
Together with your construction partner (general contractor or architect/site manager), a target vision is documented in the portal – what should be achieved in the end? This vision is supplemented by a realistic budget and timeframe. MontaConnect visualises this magic triangle of scope, cost and time, so everyone can always see where the project stands.
Your benefits:
- ✓Surprises are avoided – planning changes and their effects are immediately visible
- ✓Minutes and approvals are properly documented; every amendment is recorded in the system
- ✓Fewer ambiguities and queries – you can see the current status at any time
- ✓All agreements are in writing – no more "I said something different on the phone"

Transparency Through the Logbook (Kitchen Pass)
Every project gets a digital logbook. All participants – installers, site managers, suppliers – can contribute and add entries throughout the project. At completion, the entire dossier is transparently and permanently saved. Like a maintenance booklet, MontaConnect documents which materials were sampled and approved, when a defect was reported and resolved, including photos, PDFs (such as inspection reports) and even voice notes.
Shared project dossier
Everyone involved can contribute and log entries during the project. At project close, the complete dossier is transparently and permanently stored – ready for future service calls by the alliance, warranty cases or when selling the property.
Value Increase
Fully traceable in warranty cases. When selling later, the logbook serves as a quality certificate that can increase the property value.
Kitchen Pass: MontaConnect playfully calls this feature "Kitchen Pass" – a reference to the idea that no decision gets past the gatekeeper. For you as a building owner it means: a complete dossier of your entire project – that can be reactivated at any time for service calls by the alliance and serves as a comprehensive quality record when selling.
Local Project Alliances
For more complex construction projects, MontaConnect recommends modern forms of collaboration such as IPD / Integrated Project Delivery. The portal also supports such alliances of building owners, general contractors, tradespeople and planners who act as a joint team.
Your advantage: Through shared responsibility and lived transparency, projects can be completed faster and more cost-effectively. As a building owner you benefit from higher cost certainty and a genuine partnership at eye level – everyone pulls together instead of ending up in confrontation.

By when do I need to make decisions to avoid additional costs?
MontaConnect clearly marks every Point of No Return (PoNR) in the portal and sends automatic reminders. Whether it's material selection, kitchen plan or floor-plan changes – you always see the latest deadline for each decision before additional costs or schedule delays arise.
What is the 'Kitchen Pass' and why do I need it?
The Kitchen Pass is your digital project dossier: all participants – from site management to installers and suppliers – work in it together and log events, material decisions and defects directly. At project close, a complete, permanently stored record is available. In warranty or dispute cases you have all evidence at hand – and for future service calls by the alliance or when selling the property, the dossier is immediately available again.
What happens if costs or schedule change during construction?
MontaConnect visualises the target triangle of scope, cost and time in real time. Every planning change and its consequences become immediately visible – no more nasty surprises. All amendments are recorded and documented in the system so that 'we agreed something different by phone' is no longer possible.
How secure is my project data?
All project data is stored encrypted (data residency CH/EU), with role-based access control (RBAC) and a complete log. Every change is recorded traceably – your data belongs to you and no one else.
What does a project alliance offer compared to a traditional general contractor?
In a local project alliance, all participants – owner, general contractor and tradespeople – pursue shared goals with shared risks. That means less confrontation, faster decisions and greater cost certainty. MontaConnect supports such alliances with a shared workspace, shared protocols and transparent communication streams.
Can I use the portal as a building owner without technical knowledge?
Absolutely. The owner portal is intentionally kept simple – clear timeline, status displays and notifications without jargon. You don't need any technical knowledge. If you can read an email and click a link, you're ready to go.
Who has access to my project portal?
Only people you or your site management have explicitly invited. MontaConnect uses role-based access control: owners see the big picture, tradespeople only their tasks, site managers the full cockpit. No external access without your approval.
Does the portal help after acceptance – in warranty cases or when selling?
Yes. The logbook is retained permanently and documents all defects, repairs, materials and acceptance minutes. In warranty cases you have watertight evidence. When selling the property, the complete digital dossier serves as a trust-building quality reference for prospective buyers.
